Later #BookReview
The story is told from the perspective of a young boy, Jamie and guess what? He can see dead people.
The Outsider #BookReview
a long, epic tale, of practical but also somehow outerworldly evil, visited upon an entire town of people. No one is safe. A kid is brutally violated and murdered
If It Bleeds #BookReview
The book is a collection of longish, short stories with very little in common besides the overwhelming creepiness of each.
The Chill #BookReview
Great ghost story, diverse characters, great character development. If you are a person that enjoys reading books about people and how they think as they are facing trauma, this is the book for you!
The Institute #BookReview
The Institute reminds me of Firestarter, which I read as a kid. I remember being terrified bad doctors would come thief my sister and I if they found out we were smart. 🤦🏾♀️🤣😂 The climatic ending is great as well, complete with suspense, action magic, and violence. #ClassicKing Everyone gets what they deserves and the telling is gratifying.
Gwendy’s Button Box #BookReview
One day, while struggling to complete her exercise on the communities suicide stairs, she meets a man in a black hat. He offers to change her life forever, and does. Pretty much overnight, she becomes the smart, attractive, popular girl the popular guy is interested in.
Full Throttle #BookReview
Overall, I loved Full Throttle. All the stories were horrific in that Hill/King style of twisting our reality against us in the worst possible way. I was throughly frightened!
The Bazaar of Bad Dreams #BookReview
With 21 stories and forwards by King, this is a pretty big short story collection. All the stories are interesting in that weird King way that he makes ordinary people deal with extraordinary phenomena.
The Fold
“…strange things start happening to the people that’ve been through the device. Strange like, they go home and shoot their spouses in the face, strange.”
Full Dark, No Stars
This is a book of short stories, mostly horrific in nature. Not the big over the top horrific, but, the subtle, maybe I’ll convince my kid to help me kill my wife today, kind of horrific.
Doctor Sleep
Lil’Danny’s all grown up and messed up and now we get to see how his psychic ability plays out in his adult life. I wanted to like this story. The Overlook Hotel is horror/suspense legend.
